Jason M. Arnold (born on August 19, 1979) is a professional accountant living in St Louis, Missouri. He previously lived in Springfield Missouri. Having discovered unnoticed liabilities and accounting errors at Fortune 500 companies, he is considered one of the countries leading experts on business acquisitions and financial accounting. He is also well-respected in the wine industry, having authored, The Beginner’s Guide to Wine.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from Springfield, Missouri’s Drury University in 2003. He excelled in high school before completing his undergraduate degree in accounting and business administration. He continued to further his studies to earn a Master in Business Management degree and completed the Executive Education programs at Harvard University and the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Though he was raised in Springfield, he later moved to St Louis, where he completed the Leadership Development Program at The Olin School of Business (Washington University).
Jason later became a Certified Public Accountant and was subsequently hired by G&J Seiberlich & Co in Napa, California. He relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2007 to serve as Senior Auditor at Deloitte. He managed full scope audits there for a Fortune 500 company and evaluated internal controls and accounting systems before making recommendations to management. Arnold’s success at Deloitte culminated in him being hired by the CIC Group in St. Louis, Missouri. It was there, that he served as Director of Finance and Financial Reporting.
Jason was tasked with overseeing the finances of 10 companies in the CIC Group portfolio with revenue in excess of one billion dollars. In 2011, he was promoted to the position of Director of Finance, Financial Reporting, and Risk Management, before ultimately becoming the Managing Director of Finance, Financial Reporting, and Directory of Risk Management in 2015. As Managing Director, Arnold was responsible for the Chief Financial Officers of the firm’s portfolio companies and the CIC Group’s in-house accounting personal. Arnold oversaw the companies financial forecasting and planning, budget, analysis, and corporate compliance.
He developed relationships with Asian and European banking subsidiaries, with 65 million Euros of unencumbered financial capital. The relationships he formed saved the firm more than 2 million Euros in foreign currency translation fees and interest. He was in charge of acquisitions and had sales between 30 and 90 million dollars. His keen eye also revealed a 200 million dollar gap in liability coverage. While at CIC Group, Arnold negotiated nine-figure international surety agreements for the firm. In 2018, Jason Arnold left the St. Louis firm with the reputation of a highly competent business accountant.
Since then, Jason Arnold rediscovered a passion that he found in Napa Valley. the appreciation and enjoyment of wine. He educates people on wine etiquette and shares his winemaking knowledge with others.
